Exceptionally fast-growing and quick to mature, Twilite reaches about 4 to 5 feet tall and wide and produces up to 100 of its beautiful lupine-like flowering racemes in just three years. The long-lasting, bicolor, smokey-violet colored flowers with yellow keels come in late spring to early summer over about 5 weeks. After the flowers come ornamental seed pods that extend the season of interest into fall. Kids will love to shake and rattle the seed pods, which are also excellent for cutting and displaying in floral arrangements. The blooms rise on sturdy stems above the rounded vase of dense, very pretty, blue-green, trifoliate foliage, which stays spotless all season.
