In spring, new leaves emerge a stunning bright pink-toned crimson-red (not scarlet-red). The spring color is long-lasting and turns a gorgeous pink-red color until the beginning of summer when the leaves turn to bright green. As the cooler temperatures of fall arrive the leaves transition to pleasing shades of pink and red finally turning to vibrant shades of orange to red. In addition to the colorful leaves, new stems are bright red on top.
