We've only had this one for a year in our gardens but it seems to be just as cold hardy as the green-leaved species, \u003ci\u003eOsmanthus fragans\u003c\/i\u003e (Fragrant White tea Olive). For now, we're listing it as cold hardy to USDA Zone 7b while awaiting feedback from those testing it outdoors in Zone 7a. You'll be happy to know that Yinbi Shuanghui begins blooming at a very young age, and just as heavy as it green-leaved cosuins. We found them on Wilson Brothers online for a reasonable price and size and took a chance ordering two. They arrived quickly in very sturdy packaging in excellent condition and were immediately transferred to large containers we had already preparred on our deck. A few weeks later we had a week of late hard freeze but the plants showed no signs of any effect. We look forward to seeing them grow to full size over the next few years. A great choice for all year color in an evergreen container plant. I bought two last fall, two more this summer, and all are doing well. The foliage really lights up very dark spots where few other shrubs will thrive, they don't demand a lot of water, they are evergreen, and best of all the deer (at least so far) seem to truly dislike them, with not even a nibble when nearby plants were heavily browsed. The summer order even survived a shipping disaster, when one plant slipped completely out of the pot in the box.
