This unique tree combines three kinds of stone fruits (Prunus species) on the same tree, which is accomplished by grafting. Stone fruits are peaches, plums, apricots, and nectarines. Popular varieties of these fruit types have been selected based on their flavor and sweetness, and their same or similar bloom time, so that there's no need for planting two for pollination. That said, if two are planted, or if you have existing peach, plum, nectarine, or apricot trees already growing on your property, fruit production might be increased.
