The tulip-shaped flowers perched upright on the ends of every branch have 7 to 9 petals that are purplish-red on the outside and light pinkish-purple. Ann Magnolia blooms a bit later in spring than many other varieties making it a perfect choice in climates where a late frost is common, and you can expect sporadic re-bloom through summer.
