The needles are whitish on the underside giving the tree a silvery look. Though some sources say it's spreading shrub, our trees are grafted to be upright and pyramidal in form, reaching 12 to 14 feet tall and 7 to 8 feet wide when all grown up. We suggest at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. As with so many other ornamental trees, constantly soggy soil can cause problems with the roots. Does not require pruning however the candles on this pine can be pruned by up to 50 percent of their length to control the size of the tree.
