A slow grower that might add 4 inches in growth per year, when all grown up the canopy itself, which sits atop a single trunk, might reach about about 3 feet tall by 4 feet wide. Its smaller stature and soft texture makes this easy-to-grow conifer a fine choice as an accent tree in small garden spaces, home foundation plantings, and Japanese and rock gardens in USDA Zones 4a-8b.
