Upon close observations you'll see a thin yellow margin on the leaves. In summer, a very showy \"tower\" of creamy white flowers arranged along a stout, 4 to 6 foot tall stalk rises above the foliage. The plant is mounding when young but eventually forms more of an upright column with age.
