Fruits are produced in summer, and there's usually a secondary crop in the fall. The fruit is excellent for fresh eating, cooking, canning, drying, and in jams, jellies, and preserves. However, they avoid excessive water that would keep the soil constantly soggy or wet, as this can be problematic. The best and most fruits will be produced when trees are growing in full sun.
