It features leathery, narrowly lance-shaped leaves that emerge vibrant crimson and orangey shades in spring, gradually transition to dark green by summer, and with the arrival of cooler temperatures in fall, the leaves turn to lovely burgundy and purple shades. From mid-spring to early summer, racemes of fragrant, urn-shaped white flowers add additional appeal, and the butterflies and beneficial pollinators will appreciate them.
