As with its parent, Corvallis Broom features the same amazing bright coral-red stems but on a much smaller tree reaching maybe 6 to 8 feet tall at maturity with a very dense crown. It's smaller stature makes it a perfect fit as a specimen in smaller garden spaces and container gardens. In spring, new leaves emerge a lime green to chartreuse contrasting marvelously with the red stems and branches. The same contrast occurs in fall when the leaves turn bright yellow shades with the arrival of cooler temperatures. After the fall leaf drop the red stems and branches take center stage throughout winter.
