It forms a dense carpet of succulent, rich green foliage, 2 to 3 inches tall, 4 inches in bloom, and 24 or more inches wide, making it a great choice as a border, grouping, groundcover, or spiller plant in container gardens. From late spring through early summer, the foliage carpet is smothered in vibrant reddish-orange, quilled flowers up to 2 inches across, which butterflies and beneficial pollinators will appreciate. Easy to grow, low-maintenance, and drought-tolerant, like other ice plants, Dancing Embers requires well-drained soil and plenty of sunlight for optimal bloom and overall performance.
