All colors can simultaneously be present on the same plant for a dazzling tricolor effect. The butterflies and other beneficial pollinators will appreciate the flowers. Evergreen, leather-like, rich green foliage takes the stage when it is not in bloom. Though Proven Winners list it as heat-hardy to Zone 9, we think this refers to the Pacific Northwest and other areas with cooler summers. Until we know for sure, we're listing it as heat-hardy to Zone 8 in the hot summer climates of the South. It is very handsome and easy to grow and care for. It reaches up to 8 feet tall and wide when all grown up, so give this handsome shrub plenty of room to grow, and minimal pruning will be required.
