An upright dwarf that might reach 6 to 10 feet tall when all grown up, it is densely clothed in some of the most unique foliage, which doesn't seem to know what it wants to do. The small, deeply dissected 5-lobed feathery leaves can be flat, scrunched or curved all on the same tree...on the same stem for that matter. The leaves emerge lightly variegated in shades of green and yellow to chartreuse darkening as summer approaches. Cooler temperatures in fall bring on orange and red shades. Can be grown as a shrub or lower branches can be removed to form an attractive small tree.
