It features bright, variegated foliage with oval, evergreen leaves that have dark blue-green centers surrounded by a broad white margin. From a distance, the plant will appear nearly white in partial shade. If exposed to full sun or afternoon sun, the leaves will take on a soft-yellow cast. If left to grow naturally, the plant will grow to around 5 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide at its base. However, it can be maintained at half that size with annual spring trimming, which removes about half the length of its new growth. Very easy to grow and adaptable, Elegans Boxwood is a terrific accent or focal point in small garden spaces.
