In cooler climates it tends to form a multi-trunk shrub to about 5 to 6 feet tall. In frost-free climates it might reach 10 to 15 tall and wide developing. Lower leaves can be removed to expose trunks. The huge, blue-green fan-shaped leaves can be 2 feet long and wide with 10 to 20 narrow, finger-like leaflets.
