It adapts to most soil types of average fertility, preferring a moist well drained soil. Plants are exceptionally drought tolerant when established. As with so many other conifers, constantly soggy soil or standing water is problematic. Just keep in mind that whether growing in the ground or in pots, good drainage is essential. As with other Deodar Cedars, Feelin' Blue likes as much sun as you can give it. Some shade is tolerated however plants won't be as full.
