Some morning sun or all-day heavily filtered sun is fine, but direct afternoon sun is best avoided. For brightest foliage color we suggest 4 to 5 hours of sunlight in the mornings and\/or evening hours. Avoid the hot direct afternoon sun as leaves may scorch. Constantly soggy or wet soil can be problematic.
