The needle color transitions to a glowing light green during the summer. Abundant purple cones stand upright like 3\" candles on the branches contrasting beautifully with the foliage. A slow grower that might add 6 inches or so in height per year, it has a more rounded shape when very young but develops a central leader forming a majestic pyramid 15 to 20 feet tall and 8 to 12 feet wide at the base when all grown up. Golden Korean Fir makes for a distinctive focal point specimen, corner plant in home foundation plantings, or an accent in mixed privacy screen plantings. So make sure to plant this one in well-drained soil, whether in the ground or in pots. Once established, water needs are lower when growing in the ground. In pots, soil moisture will need to be monitored more closely, especially during summer. When the top two inches of soil is dry, provide water.
