In our gardens, we've found it to have better drought, heat and pest tolerance than many other boxwood. Responds very well to shearing for formal hedges and shaping purposes. As with most all boxwoods, prefers slightly cooler, moist soils with good drainage. The price was good, it came promptly and was very well packaged. It was in great shape and was planted immediately. It is doing beautifully! I live in a highly wooded area with many deer, rabbits, and other animals. Finding plants that they won't destroy is a constant battle. I'm hopeful that they'll leave this little beauty alone. So far so good, and I haven't had to use any repellent or deer netting.
