It can be trimmed once or twice yearly for a slightly shaggy look or several times yearly for a tighter form. Its soothing foliage color, form, and texture make it an excellent accent specimen  in sunny garden beds and containers. Two can be planted in the ground or pots to accentuate and frame an entrance. It can also be used as a home foundation plant. Trim once or twice annually for a slightly shaggy appearance or several times yearly for a tight, more formal appearance. When growing in a container, ensure it has a drainage hole(s). We suggest lining the pot's interior with a porous landscape fabric such as weed barrier cloth to prevent the drainage hole from becoming clogged with roots.
