The butterfly wing shaped leaves form in dense bunches at the ends of stems, which is unique and highly attractive characteristic among the species. Leaves turn a brilliant golden-yellow that is a little darker than other cultivars. Because this is a more recent introduction we're not sure exactly the ultimate size, but the oldest known specimen reached around 10 feet in 10 years. It is remarkably free of diseases, is insect resistant, and exceptionally drought tolerant when established. It adapts well to most soil types, even clay, and won't be bothered by moist or dry soil conditions. Soil pH is of no concern as Ginkgo trees perform well in both acid and alkaline conditions.
