The cultivar name refers to the town of Knapton, an English village in Norfolk County, United Kingdom. A slower grower, it forms a broad pyramidal to conical small tree 8 to 10 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet wide at maturity. What's most outstanding and sure to make Knapton White-Tipped Japanese Cedar an attention-getter and conversation piece in the garden is its new growth, which emerges pure snow-white from top to bottom of the plant in spring and throughout the warm seasons, maturing to a rich blue-green.
