In late winter to mid spring (depending on location), this beauty displays a showstopping profusion of fragrant, single, 3 to 5 inch wide red-flowers with prominent, showy yellow stamens. The flowers stand out nicely against glossy dark green foliage on an upright shrub or small tree 10 to 15 feet tall and 7 to 8 feet wide when all grown up.
