'La Diva Big Night' Lavender is a member of the La Diva Series of Lavender. These have been bred for superior heat and humidity tolerance, great landscape performance, heavy blooming and outstanding fragrance.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e'La Diva Big Night' is a breakthrough for Spanish lavenders, because it is the first cross hybrid of  Spanish and English lavender, which gives it the more robust body, durable foliage and cold hardiness (-10F) of English lavender, and the heat and humidity tolerance of Spanish Lavender. It produces very abundant, large and highly fragrant deep inky blue-purple flowers with violet colored ears that are typical of Spanish lavenders. Rising above a dense mound of attractive fragrant grey-green foliage, the flowers come in waves throughout late spring and summer and are excellent for cutting and use in fresh or dried floral arrangements, bouquets and potpourri. La Diva Big Night is a compact variety to only 14 inches tall and maybe 18 inches wide, making it a fine selection for small garden spaces and container gardens.
