From June through October it produces loads of pom pom like flowers with golden rays surrounding a dark brown eye. The sunburst of strap thin petals do not brown or fade, but develop a contrasting red edge with age. This quick-growing hybrid rudbeckia thrives in heat (Zones 8b to 11) and is excellent in garden beds or containers, which can be overwintered indoors in cold winter climates above USDA Zone 8b.
