It's narrow, weeping, columnar form allows it to fit in smaller spaces where its much larger growing cousins won't fit. A moderate grower that might reach 10 to 12 feet tall and 3 feet wide in 10 years, and upwards of 30 feet tall and 6 to 10 feet over the long term, it has a tall central leader and graceful weeping branches covered with attractive greyish blue-green needles. Though it grows upright, it might have a little twist here and there and an occasional occasional arm that reaches out to to demonstrate its individuality from the rest of the tree.
