In spring, new leaves emerge bright red changing over to brilliant chartreuse with orange tones during summer. Fall brings glorious shades of orange and red. This one has shown good resistance to leaf burn when growing in the sun. That said, we think Japanese maples look more at home in a spot where there's some filtered sun or shade in the afternoon.
