As with all other roses, it requires the morning sun to dry the morning dew from its leaves, which prevents powdery mildew from forming. Some afternoon shade or filtered sun is okay. We suggest 6 hours of direct sunlight per day for best flowering. No pruning is required; however, the plants respond well to it. Deadheading spent flowers will encourage quicker and heavier rebloom throughout the seasons. The bush can be cut back to 4 to 6 inches above the ground before new growth emerges in late winter or early spring.
