In late spring through early summer, a profusion of delicate, 5-petaled, star-shaped soft-pink flowers are held daintily above a 3' by 3' mound of divided red tinted leaves on deep red stems. What's really neat is how the flowers dance about and shimmer in the slightest breeze. In fall, the leaves turn a bright maroon. You'll be happy to know that it is pest, disease and drought resistant when established, and deer and rabbits have shown no interest in our gardens.
