The Pumpkin Hypericum is an upright, rounded, perennial shrub that grows up to 3 feet tall and nearly as wide. From late spring through early summer, it features abundant clusters of unique and exotic star-shaped flowers with bright yellow petals surrounding a prominent ring of golden-yellow, fiber optic-like stamens at the center. The flowers are followed by an equally abundant display of showy orange berries resembling little pumpkins, which are excellent for cutting and display in fall floral arrangements. The berries persist through fall and into winter, which the birds will certainly appreciate. Pumpkin Hypericum is a colorful accent in sunny garden spaces and containers, or in groupings and drifts in larger borders.
