Backing up the flowers are deep green leaves with an oval shape that are strongly veined and toothed around the edges and pleated on top. The attractive leaves turn burgundy red to purplish red in fall to finish off the season. A truly spectacular shrub that deserves a spot in every garden where it will grow and where there is room.
