In early spring, pure white, fragrant, bell-shaped flowers dangle in abundant clusters that shine against the backdrop of deep green, evergreen, leaf spot resistant foliage. Following the flowers candle-like flames of red new leaves emerge that age to deep green. In winter pinkish-red flower buds adorn the shrub providing additional interest in the garden.
