Some suggest full sun tolerance throughout the zones where it is listed hardy, however, we always like to play it safe so as mentioned a break from direct afternoon sun in hotter climates. Once established plants are quite drought tolerant, requiring supplemental water only during prolonged periods of dry summer weather. Native azaleas are very low-maintenance, requiring little if any pruning. The plant arrived quickly and seems like good stock with a few buds that should bloom in a couple of weeks. Our bloom season is just beginning in Massachusetts so I'd like to review once the buds have flowered. I was attracted to the yellow color of the azalea and am planning on additional purchases of unusual items Wilson Brothers have. So far, very satisfied with product and service here.
