At only an inch or so in height, its petite foliage is perfect for use to fill the gaps between stepping stones or as a groundcover in shrub beds and miniature gardens. Also nice for underplanting small trees such as Japanese maples. Though it is adored for its bright and cheery foliage, in late spring through early summer cute and tiny pearl-white flowers sitting just above the foliage adorn the plant.
