They open in a shade of light green quickly changing to white. Then, as the season progresses, they gradually transition to pink by July and finally to a darker pink to almost red later in the season. The flower clusters are held atop strong stems that won't flop in the garden or when growing in containers, making them excellent for cutting and use in fresh or dried flower arrangements.
