In early spring, the deeply divided palmate leaves first emerge green with a pinkish purple border. As the season progresses white coloration develops and expands on the interior of the leaves. The variegation holds quite well into summer with more green and less white and pink. Fall brings bright shades of yellow and orange. For the best foliage color throught the seasons we suggest filtered sun or shade during the afternoon hours. A strong grower, you might expect 7 to 8 feet tall at 10 years of age and 12 to 15 feet tall and 10 feet wide or so when all grown up.
