The needle color won't fade or burn in full sun. Adding maybe 6 inches in height per year, Wintergold might reach 15 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet wide when all grown up, making it a good fit as a glowing specimen in smaller garden spaces and home foundation plantings. So make sure to plant this one in well-drained soil, whether in the ground or in pots. Once established, water needs are lower when growing in the ground.
