New growth in spring emerges orange in spring gradually transitioning to a lovely shade of sunburn-resistant yellow which stands out beautifully against the medium green foliage on the interior. In cool-winter climates the foliage takes on a handsome bronze tint. We suggest at least 6 hours or more of direct sunlight for the best and brightest foliage color.
