A super-tough, easy-care and fast-growing selection of our North American native species, the Alouette Ninebark features an upright rounded shrub to around 6 feet tall and wide clothed in very unique and attractive maple-like leaves in shades of copper, orange and golden shades. In late spring to early summer abundant domed clusters of contrasting white flowers appear that are followed by bright red seed heads. The flowers Layers of peeling red-brown bark on the branches and stems, hence the name "ninebark," take the stage during the winter months.
