Description
This is the pompom topiary version of the beautiful Angelica Blue Juniper, a fine textured evergreen conifer with pleasantly pine-scented, soft, feathery, silvery blue foliage. This pompom form might grow to 4 feet tall and 6 feet wide over time and is ideal for use as a specimen in sunny landscape borders, home foundation plantings, rock gardens, and other gardens. Its fine texture, soothing blue color, and resistance to blazing sun, cold (-40F), deer, drought, heat (to zone 9b), pollution, wind, salt, disease, and insects make it an easy-to-grow and eye-catching addition to almost any landscape anywhere in the United States.
Landscape & Garden Uses
The Angelica Blue Juniper Pom Pom Topiary is ideal for use as a specimen in sunny landscape borders and garden beds. It is also very nice as an accent or to accentuate an entryway in home foundation plantings or as a focal point in rock gardens. It is also well-suited for containers. It is a fine addition to conifer gardens, rock gardens, topiary gardens, blue-themed gardens, and Xeriscape gardens (low water needs).
Suggested Spacing: Best as a specimen or use two to frame an entrance
Growing Preferences
The SAngelica Blue Juniper Pom Pom Topiary is exceptionally easy to grow in most any well-drained soil of average fertility and full to mostly sun. We suggest at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. It is drought tolerant when established. As with many other conifers, constantly soggy or wet soil can cause root rot or other harmful plant diseases, so plant it in a well-draining site. Shear one or two times per year to maintain pompom form.
