Landscape & Garden Uses

Also a great candidate for creating living topiary shapes and forms. A fine selection for Asian or English gardens, formal gardens, topiary gardens, yellow color theme gardens, or container gardens.
Suggested Spacing: 2 to 3 feet apart for solid hedges; 7 feet or more for space between plants
Note: For our customers who live and garden north of USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 6a, where this box leaf honeysuckle is not reliably winter hardy, you'll be happy to know it can be grown in containers that can be brought indoors during winter and placed back outside when temperatures warm up in spring.
Growing Preferences
Baggesen's Gold Box Leaf Honeysuckle is very easy to grow in a moist but well-drained soil of average fertility. In zones 6 and 7 it will grow in full sun however prefers some afternoon shade or filtered sun in zones 8 and 9. Foliage will be brighter yellow with more sun. It will tolerate dry periods when established. Responds very well to shearing for topiary shapes and formal hedges. In our gardens, we've found it to have excellent resistance to pests and disease.
