If you're looking for a super-hardy and easy-to-grow rose that's a literal blooming machine it doesn't get any better than 'Sunrise Sunset', a low maintenance own root shrub rose in the Easy Elegance Series that blooms from late spring to fall. As the name implies, Sunrise Sunset features a stunning blend of double roses in glowing shades of pink to salmon-pink with golden apricot colored centers. The blooms emerge a bright fuchsia-pink aging to various lighter shades of pink with all colors in between present on the shrub at the time. A vigorous grower forming a spreading rounded mound 4 to 6 feet tall and 5 to 7 feet wide, Sunrise Sunset is great for filling large sunny spaces with season long color. Rivaling the Knock Out Roses in disease resistance and flower power, Sunrise Sunset makes a dazzling color statement in any border and performs extremely well in both cold (-30F) and hot climates. Hardy in USDA Zones 4a-9b.  

Growing 4 to 6 feet tall and 5 to 7 feet wide, the Sunrise Sunset Rose is ideal for use as a specimen in smaller landscape spaces and flowering shrub borders or in grouping or as a hedge in larger landscape borders and on slopes, where it can serve as a colorful groundcover. This rose is so reliable and attractive throughout the season we have no problem suggesting it for use where a large shrub is desired in home foundation plantings. A fine addition to rose gardens, cottage gardens and pink theme gardens.

Easy Elegance Sunrise Sunset Rose is exceptionally easy to grow in a moist but well drained soil of average to high fertility and full sun to part shade. As with all other roses, morning sun is a must to dry dew from the leaves, which prevents powdery mildew. We suggest 6 hours of direct sunlight per day for best flowering.

Maintenance is minimal. No pruning is required however in late winter or early spring the branches can be cut back to about 6 to 12 inches above the ground in late winter or early spring. This hard prining will result in a smaller rose that might reach 3 to 4 feet tall and 4 to 5 feet wide. After this hard pruning, your rose will quickly flush out and start blooming with the arrival of warmer spring temperatures. Deadheading spent flowers through the season is not necessary however will encourage heavier rebloom
