Description
A member of the Everpanthus Series, which were bred for a faster growth rate and increased flower power over a much longer bloom season, like all Everpanthus family members, 'Midnight Sky' has an incredibly long flowering period with good rebloom over a period of months, not just weeks. 'Midnight Sky' features abundant, large and voluptuous globe-shaped clusters of some of the darkest violet-blue flowers. Excellent for cutting and dispaly in a vase or floral arrangement, the flower clusters rise 24 to 36 inches above a fast growing handsome clump of glossy green strap-like leaves to 12 to 18 inches tall and 18 to 24 inches wide. Whether growing in garden beds or containers, Midnight Sky is excellent for adding a Mediterranean look and feel to any landscape space. You might be happy to know this one has cold hardiness to 5F and is drought tolerant when established. Just give it plenty of sun and a well-drained soil and it'll do the rest. The butterflies and hummingbirds will thank you for planting this one!

The Everpanthus Midnight Sky Agapanthus is ideal for use as an accent in small garden spaces or in groupings or as a border where space allows in sunny perennial borders and home foundation plantings. Growing Preferences
Agapanthus is easy to grow in most any moist but well-drained soil of average fertility and full sun to mostly sun. We suggest 6 hours or more if direct sunlight per day. The more sun the better for best flowering. Established plants are quite drought tolerant requiring supplemental irrigation only during prolonged periods of drought. Constantly soggy or wet soils are problematic.
