A long time favorite in our gardens and one the butterflies and pollinators will thank you for planting, Hardy Ageratum is a North American native perennial plant that will provide beautiful late-season color in the garden. Abundant, bright violet-blue flowers massed in flat clusters atop every stem glow in our north central Georgia gardens from September until the first frost in late October or early November. The flowers are perfect for cutting and use in indoor flower arrangements. Excellent for naturalizing along sunny to partially shaded woodland borders, in wild flower gardens, or the periphery of stream of pond.

Growing Preferences
Hardy Ageratum is very easy to grow in most any average, medium to wet, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. It prefers consistently moist, fertile, humusy soils. Plants spread rhizomes and self-seeding to form colonies. Taller plants may be cut back in mid summer to control height.
