A very cute miniature Hosta perfect for small garden spaces, containers and fairy gardens, 'Munchkin Fire' Hosta displays a 6 to 8 inch tall by 12 to 15 inch wide mound of narrow, bright yellow leaves from which emerge sturdy stems topped with very pretty lavender flowers from early to mid summer that the hummingbirds will thank you for. Plant this little gem around patios and sitting areas or in the border along paths and walkways where its cuteness can be enjoyed from up close. Very good slug resistance and tolerates a fair amount of sun in the morning and late afternoon and evening hours.

Growing only 6 to 8 inches tall and maybe 15 to 18 inches wide, the Munchkin Fire Hosta is ideal for use as an accent in small garden spaces and containers or in groupings or in the borders around patios and along walkways and paths. A fine addition to fairy gardens, miniature gardens, mixed hosta gardens, hummingbird gardens, yellow theme gardens and woodland gardens.

The Munchkin Fire Hosta Lily is easy to grow in most any moist but well drained soil of average fertility and shade or part shade. It prefers the shade, and will practically grow in the dark, so is perfect for planting under tall decks and large shade trees where not much sun shines. That said, morning or evening sun or all-day filtered sun is fine. Hot, direct afternoon sun can scald the leaves, especially in warmer climates. Plant with the top of the root ball even with ground level. Care and maintenance are minimal. Feed in spring with an organic plant food.
