Named after David Austin's granddaughter, the Olivia Rose Austin English Shrub Rose begins blooming exceptionally early in spring, reblooming in flushes throughout the season well into the fall. It features abundant pretty buds that open to beautiful cupped rosettes 4 to 5 inches wide with up to 90 petals in a medium pink with a wonderful fruity fragrance. Held aloft in clusters on sturdy red-tinged stems, as new flowers emerge, the older flowers soften a bit in color as they age, providing a multi-hue effect with many shades of pink on the same shrub at the same time. Its well-shaped upright form, up to 4.5 feet tall and 3.5 feet wide, is clothed in dark green foliage that perfectly showcases the pretty flowers. Olivia Rose Austin is a good fit for small garden spaces and containers that can be situated on or around patios and other outdoor sitting areas where the pretty flowers and delicious fragrance can be enjoyed from close up. 

Growing 4.5 feet tall and 3.5 feet wide, the Olivia Rose Austin English Shrub Rose is ideal for use as an accent, in groupings, or as a hedge in sunny to partially shaded borders and garden beds. Her smaller stature makes her a good fit in containers that can be situated on or around patios, decks, and other outdoor sitting and living spaces. She's a fine addition to cottage gardens, pink-theme gardens, antique and old-fashioned gardens, and fragrance and sensory gardens.

The Olivia Rose Austin English Shrub Rose is easy to grow in most moist but well-drained soil of average or better fertility and full sun or partial shade for the best flowering. As with all other roses, morning sun is a must to dry dew from the leaves; however, this one will do fine with some filtered sun during the afternoon hours. Flowering will be best if the plant receives at least 5 hours of direct sun during the day.
