With three colors of flowers on the same tree at the same time, the Peppermint Flowering Peach puts on a spectacular show in spring. Flower colors are red, pink and white with dark pinkish red stripes. What's more, the doubled petaled flowers are fragrant. No edible fruit on this one. Narrow dark green leaves throughout the season turn to yellow in fall. An eye-catching specimen and conversation piece in the garden!
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing 10 to 20 tall and equally as wide depending on pruning, and producing three different color flowers all on the same tree, we think the Peppermint Flowering Peach is ideal for use primarily as a specimen tree in landscape borders. A fine addition to fragrance gardens, and cottage gardens.
Growing Preferences
The Peppermint Flowering Peach is very easy to grow in most any moist but well-drained soil of average fertility and full sun to light shade. Moderate drought tolerance when established. We suggest at least 5 hours of direct sunlight per day. No pruning is necessary however responds well to it for size control and shaping purposes.
