The square stems of the plant are clothed in 3-6" long, deep green leaves that have a minty basil-like aroma and are often used to flavor teas. Raspberry Wine Bee Balm is not finicky about soil Bee Balm is not finicky about soil type, but likes a consistently moist to wet, well-drained soil with at least 4 hours of sun daily, and you might be happy to know it has high mildew resistance.
