Aptly named, from early or midsummer continuously through early fall, the Red Hot Returns Daylily features abundant, 5-inch diameter trumpet flowers with brilliant cherry-red ruffled petals and a contrasting, glowing yellow halo surrounding an apple green throat. The flowers are held on sturdy stems above grassy clumps of rich green foliage. Able to thrive in harsh conditions such as polluted urban environments, poor and dry soils when established, blazing sun and heat, salty soil near roads, and even under and around black walnut trees, Red Hot Returns is exceptionally easy to grow and maintain in USDA Zones 3a-9b, which is almost anywhere in America.

Growing 24 to 30 inches tall and 18 to 24 inches wide, Red Hot Returns Daylily is ideal as an accent in smaller garden spaces or in groupings, stunning mass plantings, or as a border along paths and walkways in landscape borders. It is also lovely as an accent mixed with other sun-loving plants in combination container gardens. It is a fine addition to daylily gardens, perennial gardens, fragrance gardens, and red-theme gardens.
